REGULATORY BOARD
Back label
Once the appropriate product controls have been passed, confirming its traceability from the vineyard and registration—together with the winery and its harvest standards, as well as stock monitoring, labelling and product qualification standards—the winery may collect back labels for the number of litres of qualified wine in an identified batch.
Back labels are always issued by the Regulatory Board according to the wine and the category to which it belongs.
Its serial numbering and number are equivalent to an identity card, which must be displayed on each bottle on the back of the main label. This guarantees the product’s source, origin and quality to the consumer.
